About komondors
This large breed has Hungarian roots from the 16th century. Komondor is very muscular, robust, and slightly longer than tall. This breed requires a dog-skilled pet parent because they are very independent thinkers and stubborn. Komondor is very affectionate and gentle with his human family, young children, and other pets. However, it always needs to be supervised when young children are playing with them in order to make sure the dog doesn’t misunderstand the chasing and pulling games. This breed is a real guard dog; they are the happiest when there is someone they need to watch over. Komondor has a moderate energy level and requires daily walks. The average weight is 70 to 80 pounds, and the size is about 25 to 28 inches.
