Just like the name says, this breed was created in Japan between 1920 and 1930 by crossing other spitz breeds. Japanese Spitz’s appearance is very similar to the Pomeranian; however, this breed has a thick and white off-standing coat. Usually, Japanese Spitz doesn’t enjoy the company of other dogs, so if you have other pets at home, it’s very important to socialize them at their very young ages. However, they are great companion animals; they love to attract their human’s attention. This breed is full of energy, active, and playful. Also, they will want to run and play outside a lot. The average weight of this breed is 10 to 20 pounds.
